1. Reporting to the HR Director, the Human Resource Manager will act as a strategic partner to management and stakeholders. This role is pivotal in ensuring adherence to employment laws, including occupational health and safety. The HR Manager will provide expert guidance, manage HR policies, and oversee administration aspects. Human Resource Manager Functions:

  • Supports the Human Resource Director in ensuring maximum performance execution in exceeding all HR Metrics and creating action plans to positively impact top and bottom line business initiatives.
  • Full end to end management of payroll processes
  • Ensure payroll records are accurate and processes are in place to ensure payroll information is collated in a timely manner and forwarded to the outsourced payroll department in time for fortnightly pay

  • Provide training and support on rostering / work force planning through review of data
  • Maintains payroll guidelines by writing and updating training guides on clocking in and out
  • Focuses on talent assessment and learning programs leading to high growth opportunities for store associates and also supporting the performance management function.
  • Partners with Store Management, Area Manager and/or Loss Prevention on Human Resource issues including induction, employment relations, organizational learning and development, occupational health and safety, and HR Administration.

Human Resources Manager Ability, Experience and Educations:


Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development or related field required

Experience in HR Management with the security clearance process, credentialing, federal contracting, DoD and the military

5 + years of progressive managerial experience in Human Resources

5+ years non-profit, research, or healthcare experience desired

5+ years project and program management experience

5+ years’ experience in planning, organizational, communication, and management skill

5+ years of working knowledge to serve as a knowledgeable advisor pertaining to employment law, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, recruitment, training, compensation, benefits and safety

7. The Human Resources Manager's role encompasses the oversight and enhancement of all human resources processes.   • Strong HR generalist experience advising & coaching line management both strategically and tactically, preferably from a technology-based business.
