16. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for the accurate reporting of the Monthly and Quarterly financials for these legal entities. This includes review and reconciliation of Subledgers, Inventory, Account recs, Accruals, Prepaids, Revenue, COGS, Opex, Intercompany Positions, Profit in Inventory, Lease accounting and Corporate Income Tax. You will work closely with the local teams to make sure changes and issues are understood and being managed. In this role you will report to the European Finance Manager.
Accounting Manager Functions:
- Ensure US GAAP and internal compliancy
- Understand the numbers in both detail and from a helicopter view
- Takes responsibility for reported numbers
- Report the numbers in a timely and accurate matter on a monthly and quarterly basis
- Ensure adjustments between local and US GAAP are understood and being documented precisely
- Work closely with the Distributions Holding Controller to align numbers to business expectations
- Document accounting processes and procedures to ensure they comply with Company guidelines and recommend improvements.
- Develop revenue and expense budgets, understand financial reports, and manage their financial responsibilities.
Accounting Manager Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to change current process and bring it to a higher level
- Experience in successful closing legal entities in an international environment
- Very strong Accounting background (US GAAP experience required)
- Excellent communication , analytical and interpersonal skills
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of Oracle, Netsuite and Google Sheets are beneficial.
- Excel needs to be on an expert level

The Accounting Manager will have had exposure to accounting issues commonly faced by SaaS companies, and will be excited at the prospect of continuously improving monthly processes in order to produce auditable workpapers. Reporting to the Director of Accounting and Financial Operations, this role will be critical in driving the completion of month-end close, processing of accounts payable, and collaborating across the finance team and other departments to ensure completeness and accuracy of the company’s records. Candidates should be prepared to work in a very fast-paced environment at a company experiencing rapid growth, requiring the ability to work with urgency and shift priorities as necessary.
Accounting Manager Roles and Responsibilities:
- Work with the department leadership to ensure timely execution of monthly close process, including ownership of the general ledger, as well as maintenance of underlying work papers to support the general ledger
- Managing the accounts payable processes and acting as the billing point of contact for vendor inquiries
- Preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, assisting the Director with external audit requests
- Collaborate with other team members and external departments to ensure accounting events are appropriately recorded in the general ledger
- Monitor compliance with company’s established policies and procedures around expense reimbursement and vendor management, while continuously striving for opportunities to optimize the company’s NetSuite system.
- Develop and implement processes with a focus on automation, scalability, and efficiency to streamline accounting methods
- Extreme attention to detail while also working with urgency in an environment of rapid growth
Accounting Manager Skills, Experience, Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in accounting.
- CPA preferred (not required)
- 3-6 years of relevant experience through a combination of auditing or a tech/SaaS company’s accounting department
- Experience working under tight timelines and collaborating extensively to meet deadlines
- NetSuite experience is strongly preferred
- Willing to take feedback, learn, and grow
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; excellent documentation skills
