WHAT IS A HR EXECUTIVE ?

The Human Resources (HR) Executive will actively collaborate with Business Units to pinpoint and address improvement opportunities. They will provide managers with valuable data, effective tools, and pragmatic business solutions, moving beyond mere policy enforcement. This role involves promptly responding to requests from Business Units and ensuring deliverables are met within set timelines.

Need-to-Know Overview of a Human Resources Executive

1. HR Executive Roles and Accountabilities

  • Understand Business Units business, challenges and priorities; and adjusts its approach accordingly
  • Employee Relation and Communication
  • Handle employee grievances and disciplinary issues
  • Organize and plan group events such as quarterly communication sessions, etcs
  • Monitor and analysis turnover
  • Administer feedback channels for employee
  • Manage e-portal
  • Job Posting, interviews, Recruit, tests and selects employees to fill vacant positions
  • Brief new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company policies and goal
  • Work closely with managers to define specific position requirement
  • Develop and implement candidate search strategies
  • Assess effectiveness of search strategies and adjust plan as necessary
  • Plan and organize in the local institute Career Fair and public Job Fair
  • Keep abreast with Tertiary events & build close relationship thereby to tap on entry level candidates
  • Develop a talent data bank to be proactive in recruitment & selection activities

2. HR Executive Requirements and Qualifications

  • Business Degree preferably with post graduate Diploma in HR or its equivalent
  • A track record of successful employee relations in a challenging environment, ideally gained in a production and customer service environment is preferred
  • A business focused HR person with drive, energy, tenacity
  • Track record of achieving significant culture change
  • Comfortable working in a complex matrix in a time of considerable change
  • Intellectually robust who relishes working in multiple teams
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
