Job Summary:

• Design, setup, configure, manage and upgrade new and existing servers, server-based applications, and services.
• Design, setup, configure, upgrade and manage new and existing cloud-based applications, and services.
• Assist in the design, configuration, management, and maintenance of Active Directory.
• Provide support for all College server-based applications/services such as directory services, file and print services, e-mail, database, web, FTP, NTFS permissions, shares, and DNS/DHCP.
• Troubleshoot and repair hardware and software-related problems on College hybrid server infrastructure.
• Perform the duties of the Coordinator of Network Accounts in absence.
• Build and maintain systems that maintain a high level of reliability, scalability, and availability for applications and services running on College servers.
• Analyze, monitor and evaluate operational effectiveness of College servers and cloud-based services on a regular basis using various network and server monitoring tools.
• Maintain and monitor an effective server backup strategy that protects the College’s data and ensures efficient data recovery in the event of a server crash, disaster or loss of data
• Provide tier 3 support for IT-related problems.

Job Summary:

• Provide consistent and accurate documentation pertaining to the setup and configuration of all College servers, server-based applications and cloud-based services. (Essential)
• Evaluate and recommend selections of new server hardware and software to the Director.
• Set up, configure, and maintain server-based databases
• Work closely with the Academic and Desktop Computing teams in the planning and implementation of centralized server-based desktop and application management tools and services.
• Work closely with the Administrative Information Systems team with the development, planning and implementation of data synchronization between servers and the Administrative Information System.
• Work closely with other College departments in the evaluation, selection, installation, operation, maintenance and support of server-based applications specifically used for departmental needs.
• Supporting client new technology innovation planning to improve and where necessary replace or augment legacy systems and networks
• Assisting the client with strategic technical planning, project management, performance engineering, and implementing more effective risk mitigation alternatives
• Providing liaison and support to client and industry collaboration seeking to identify, design, and develop more responsive mission support solutions

Job Summary:

• Maintains and supports multi-site Microsoft Windows Server environment along with hardware and software configuration.
• Develops, coordinates, and executes plans to ensure that all supported servers are backed up regularly and can be recovered
• Participates in disaster recovery initiatives and disaster recovery tests for the supported server environments.
• Implements and supports Microsoft Azure Cloud infrastructure and systems.
• Documents resolutions and update procedures and knowledge base documents.
• Troubleshoots and resolves complex issues, working with vendors, various internal teams and support personnel for resolution.
• Collaborates with various Business Unit customers on projects, new system builds and on-going support.
• Provide Tier 2 support for escalated service desk issues and restore files and systems
• Work closely with the Director of Network Services and other Systems Administrators in developing and designing new server infrastructure solutions.
