DATA ENTRY CLERK JOB DESCRIPTION

1. The Data Entry Clerk is a pivotal role designed to enhance the operational efficiency of our Business Intelligence team. Tasked with the meticulous entry and maintenance of data for our daily reports, Tableau dashboards, and numerous projects, this position is instrumental in ensuring that our team's workflows are seamless and deadlines are consistently met. The ideal candidate will adeptly handle a large volume of data from diverse sources, with a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy and integrity of information. Furthermore, the role requires a proactive approach to data verification and editing, guaranteeing that our intelligence database is both precise and reliable.

Data Entry Clerk Duties:

  • Accurately enter data into corresponding fields within various software programs
  • Identify and correct data entry errors using appropriate quality control methods
  • Manage and organize records and files
  • Prepare relevant reports as needed
  • Meet production requirements regarding accuracy and speed
  • Mail and document filing, scanning, upkeep of records and archiving
  • Answering phone calls as well as email correspondence


Data Entry Clerk Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Strong typing and 10 key skills
  • Software requirements include: Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • At least 2 years of Excel data reporting experience
  • Proficiency with Google suite including Gmail, hangouts/chat, google drive collaboration tool, etc. preferred.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changes in policy and processes
  • Ability to work in regularly high pressure and deadline driven environment
  • Meticulous attention to detail and quality of work product
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills; professional, friendly and approachable demeanor
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

2. The Data Entry Clerk's primary responsibility is the creation and update of new items/parts within the Company's system. This position provides support to Production on engineering changes and documentation.

Data Entry Clerk Responsibilities:

  • Enter, update and maintain parts in the Company system
  • Validate/verify all information on documents
  • Gather engineering drawings for distribution
  • Enter information into the Engineering Change database
  • Create, modify and maintain work orders and routers for engineering and manufacturing
  • Assist in clerical duties of documentation
  • Run shortage reports and follow-up on material and parts purchases
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Access, Outlook and Excel


Data Entry Clerk Skills, Abilities and Experience:

  • Highly-developed planning, organization and problem-solving skills
  • Accurate 50 words per minute typing speed
  • "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R.
  • 120.15 (US Citizen, Lawful Permanent Resident, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects with deadlines
  • Possesses technical aptitude
  • Ability to plan and carry out responsibilities with minimal direction
