CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER JOB DESCRIPTION

The Chief Financial Officer will lead the financial infrastructure development for organizational growth, providing strategic insights and guidance to executive management. 1. The Chief Financial Officer will have a proven track record of creating and improving the financial infrastructure a growing organization requires as they continue to expand. Chief Financial Officer Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly reporting with a focus on forecasting projections and maximizing ROI

  • Develop and execute an overarching financial strategy for the multiple entities within the portfolio of companies
  • Develop and implement a reporting structure that will allow for dashboards/scorecards. These are to be used in real-time and to benchmark month over month and year over year reporting.

Chief Financial Officer Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance
  • Proven Financial Leadership Experience in the Healthcare Field
  • Extensive experience in managing payments outside of “commercial insurance” including, self-payment, liens, and capitation
  • Experience in Real Estate a huge plus
  • Strong background in managing intercompany transfers
  • QuickBooks Online experience would be a plus
  • Experience in managing complex AR
  • A proven track record of implementing and utilizing new evaluative tools and dashboard reporting.

2. The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will lead the continued evolution of the AAAS finance function and will play a critical role in ensuring that best-in-class financial strategies, systems, and processes are in place to support execution of the organization’s mission. The CFO will provide executive leadership across AAAS’s core finance functions and will oversee the entire AAAS budget of over $100 million annually. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Publisher, the CFO will sit on the AAAS leadership team and provide input and counsel on broader organizational and strategic matters.

CFO Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Oversees and directs AAAS’s financial infrastructure, including financial plans and policies, budgets, accounting practices, and relationships with financial and business institutions.
  • Leads short- and long-range planning in financial and information systems.
  • Works closely with senior management to assess new business opportunities

  • Oversees the annual independent audits and special government audits.
  • Designs and oversees the annual budget process, monitoring budget schedules and workflow, working with management staff to prepare budget information, and developing budget documents and accompanying memoranda for presentation to senior management and to the Board.
  • Counsels senior management in the effective use of the organization’s financial reporting systems in planning and implementing their department’s goals and objectives.
  • Informs AAAS’s internal audit function, ensuring compliance with applicable policies and procedures and identifying opportunities to improve procedures and processes.
  • Manages AAAS’s current investment portfolio and develops the organization’s future investment strategy.

CFO Skills, Abilities and Experience:

  • Progressive leadership in financial management, including at least five years of strong leadership experience across multiple finance sub-functions
  • Experience as a sitting CFO in an organization of comparable scope and complexity
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting practices and procedures and automated systems
  • Demonstrated competency in managing complex financial and related technological processes
  • Proven track record with budget formulation and management, systems management, project oversight

3. The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will report to the President and apply a successful record of accomplishment as a finance executive in complex, global manufacturing environments to develop and inspire a high-performance organization, driven by collaboration, integrity and results. The role is a true strategic partner to the President, providing executive leadership for the financial management and top-and bottom-line growth of Dover Precision Components. As a member of the executive team, the CFO is a key voice in developing and executing current and long-range financial and business strategies, both organic and inorganic. Additionally, the CFO will collaborate with Finance and other functional teams across the Pumps & Process Solutions segment and Dover enterprise, providing financial guidance and insight and ensuring fiscal responsibility and financial controls.

Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Roles:

  • Partner with Dover Precision Components President and leadership team to develop and implement strategic planning and continue to capitalize on new business and market opportunities

  • Lead and develop a high-performing global finance organization; mentor and develop the team in regards to talent management, training, problem resolution, performance evaluation and enabling of effective teamwork
  • At least 10 years of progressive growth in Finance, with at least five years in leadership roles (two years in a CFO or equivalent role preferred)

4. The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a strategic leader who works closely with the senior leadership team and strives to ensure the strategic goals of the Company are met. The CFO has responsibility for the financial operations of the Company and will be responsible for defining, implementing, and managing the strategic and operational finance issues affecting the business.

Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the areas of accounting, financial reporting and analysis, purchasing, payroll, receivables, treasury, tax and risk management
  • Oversee the Information Technology (IT) function for the Company.
  • Assess and create an IT infrastructure that will support the Company’s need for accessible, secure, timely, and relevant information

5. The Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for financial planning, strategy, reporting, and analysis of all controllable financial statements. This person should be experienced in managing finances for a manufacturing company and have prior CFO experience. Coordinate and manage the financial activities of the company, including overseeing the day-to-day activities of AR, AP, payroll, financial controls, reporting & financial statements, financial planning, reporting and controls, short- and long-term business strategy, investments, cash management, internal risk management, corporate finance, auditing, and accounting.

Chief Financial Officer Duties:

  • Provide financial analysis support to CEO on key business components.
  • Establish and develop relations with senior management and external partners and bankers.
  • Develop weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial presentations to senior management.

Chief Financial Officer Education and Experience:

  • Experience in Finance management, including prior CFO and cost accounting experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business discipline. Advanced degree and/or CPA/CMA is desirable.
  • Demonstrated success overseeing HR.
  • In-depth understanding of robust financial and ERISA compliance.
  • Comprehensive financial analysis skills that enable the development and evaluation of complex business transactions.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including delivering presentations and financial reporting.
  • Superior computer skills: Microsoft Office POS/PMS systems and the ability to create, maintain and analyze data in Excel spreadsheets. ERP experience a plus.
