Campus Recruiter Job Description Template
1. About the Role
Early-career pipelines in professional services firms don't manage themselves: when campus recruiting lapses, internship-to-offer conversion rates fall and summer analyst classes arrive underprepared, leaving business lines scrambling to backfill entry-level capacity mid-year. The Campus Recruiter owns this outcome, running university relationships and full-cycle intern and associate hiring across accounting, financial services, and consulting practices. OFCCP documentation requirements and firm-wide diversity recruiting mandates add a compliance dimension most generalist recruiters never touch. Four to six strategic school partnerships, each with its own career services calendar and faculty network, define the day-to-day terrain.
2. Position Summary
Campus Recruiters in professional services are accountable for sourcing, assessing, and converting early-career talent into intern and entry-level associate pipelines that meet business-line headcount and diversity targets across designated university portfolios. The role sits within the Talent Acquisition function, typically reporting to a Campus Recruiting Lead or Head of Early Career Programs, and operates with direct exposure to business-line leadership, HR Business Partners, and university stakeholders simultaneously.
3. Why Join Us
Career Impact: Building end-to-end ownership of a named university portfolio in professional services develops the kind of market credibility that moves recruiters into Campus Recruiting Lead or University Relations Manager roles within three to five years.
Business Impact: Intern classes recruited and converted through this role directly determine the firm's entry-level associate headcount the following year, making pipeline health a measurable driver of practice group capacity.
Growth Opportunity: Sustained exposure to OFCCP compliance, ATS administration, and diversity recruiting strategy equips candidates for senior TA roles where program design and cross-regional execution are the primary deliverables.
4. Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle campus recruitment for intern and entry-level associate positions across two to five designated university accounts, from sourcing through offer acceptance.
- Build and maintain relationships with career services offices, faculty, department heads, and student organizations, including accounting societies and diversity chapters.
