1. The Operations Analyst is responsible for ensuring adherence to the company's administrative standards and timeliness in business processes. This role involves accurate administration aligned with treaty specifications and providing essential administrative data for accounting, valuations, and regulatory compliance. Additionally, the analyst fosters professional client relationships and collaborates on initiatives to enhance administrative procedures, ensuring client satisfaction and operational excellence.
Operations Analyst Roles and Responsibilities:
- Ensure that administration of the individual business
- Administered appropriately and accurately in line with treaty specifications.
- Ensure that the company’s administration standards and time service requirements
- Adhered to in the handling of all businesses the incumbent
- Provide administration data for input to accounting records, valuations systems and regulatory returns.
- Provide administration data to retrocession clients in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintain a professional working relationship with Clients.
- Provide support on Administration audits.
- Work with Senior Administration Analyst and the rest of the team members
- Streamline and continuously improve the administration process to better meet client expectations and service standards.
- Ensure client companies are kept abreast of any administration issues and ensure clients are promptly and efficiently responded to.
- Assist with ad hoc project work and special investigations, internal and external i.e. on behalf of the client.
Operations Analyst Skills, Abilities and Experience:
- At least 2 years experience in the insurance industry (preferably re-insurance)
- Basic knowledge of insurance products and terminology in SA. Good understanding of reinsurance and business processing methods.
- At least two years experience in the administration of Individual Life business
- Computer literacy (word, excel and outlook), would be desirable
- Highly motivated self-starter
- Organized and able to prioritize
- Ability to use own initiative and pay close attention to detail
- Good communicator
- Responsible and accountable
- Able to take on responsibilities and see them through
- Can work to deadlines
- Proactive team player with good interpersonal skills
