Job Summary: 

• Provide quality pharmaceutical services to patients, physicians, nurses and other health professionals by established professional standards
• Consistently demonstrates good aseptic technique and prepares sterile preparations in a timely and accurate manner within the USP 797 and USP 800 requirements
• Assists the Pharmacy Manager with daily operations
• Prepares patient-specific medications to be ready for dispensing in a timely and accurate manner within established department standards
• Prepares and delivers medications for the automated dispensing cabinets and the floor stock process
• Become a part of the pharmacy team, and will need to liaise and cooperate closely with other staff
• Involve assistance with dispensing, both sterile and non-sterile manufacturing, maintaining appropriate records and completing daily distribution tasks
• Participating in all other pharmacy technician work and contributing to pharmacy patient services is expected

• Accurately pre-packs and fills unit dose medications and bulk items for delivery to Pyxis in patient care areas
• Accurately prepares IV admixtures and chemotherapy following aseptic technique under the supervision of a Pharmacist for delivery at the defined time (Tier III)
• Accurately prepares STAT medication orders immediately
• Prioritizes all orders according to need
• Makes rounds of nursing stations to pick up/deliver meds at least hourly
