1. The Transportation Department is seeking a skilled Dispatcher to act as a vital communication hub. This role is integral to the Transportation Team, tasked with managing the dispatch of trailer loads, overseeing and updating driver logs, ensuring timely delivery commitments are met, and monitoring the movement of trailers. Essential to this position are exceptional communication abilities. The ideal candidate should have the capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and make independent, informed decisions with minimal oversight.
Dispatcher Functions and Responsibilities:
- Develop driver schedules and routes for both pickups and deliveries to customers and vendors
- Monitor daily operations and modify routes as needed to meet customer and vendor needs
- Communicate pertinent information to drivers, vendors, and customers in a timely manner
- Monitor weather, traffic, and construction to identify unforeseen delays and make adjustments as necessary
- Provide high-quality driver support by giving directions, resolving scheduling issues, and identifying destinations
- Effectively manage time and resources so that vendor and customer needs are met
- Document all required paperwork for each trip and delivery
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal laws, as well as company policies and procedures
Dispatcher Skills, Abilities and Experience:
- Ability to work in a 6 days a week operation
- Two years of college or equivalent technical experience of dispatch experience
- Knowledge of and/or familiarity with Transportation and Distribution practices or principles required
- Ability to successfully maneuver conflict management
- Ability to perform multiple functions simultaneously while handling heavy telephone call volume
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Demonstrated ability to make decisions
- Flexibility with regard to working hours, weekends, overtime, location and holidays
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Proficient reading, writing, and speaking skills
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, but not required

3. The position seeks a highly skilled and driven Dispatcher for a fast-expanding nationwide infrastructure services firm, enhancing Field Teams. Responsibilities include receiving and allocating calls for field technicians operating across various service areas and states.
Dispatcher Duties:
- Dispatchers receive and dispatch call-outs for field technicians working in multiple service lines and in multiple states.
- Work closely with the dispatch team, field managers, and technicians to ensure all jobs receive a timely response by a qualified technician
- Work with our proprietary online cloud-based system, INSITE, to update job statuses.
- Track all open jobs.
- Actively manage open jobs by ensuring parts procurement and scheduling return trips.
- Support the billing team by reviewing technicians' close-out packages for quality and accuracy.
Dispatcher Experience:
- Dispatcher experience is preferred
- Customer service experience is highly preferred.
- Able to learn new systems and processes quickly.
- Able to work well in a team environment and take on odd projects when needed.
- Able to work independently with little supervision.
- Experience working in dispatch, billing, and/or quality control preferred but not required
- Must be familiar with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc), and comfortable using technology
