Commercial Account Manager Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with and leverage external partners to deliver solution sales.
  • Spend time with customer; interface with all levels, with focus on the highest level within the customer organization
  • Develop a business plan in conjunction with the customer.
  • Apply consultative-selling techniques to identify and advance opportunities that result in ongoing profitable revenue growth for the company.
  • Maintain high-level of customer loyalty and build trust and integrity, as indicated in company conducted surveys and reports.
  • Be responsible for achieving/managing quarterly, half yearly, annual quota and/or margin.
  • Enter all opportunities in the pipeline tool and update them weekly. 
  • Recommend and Implement industry leading pipeline management practices.
  • Act as a first interface for international accounts in collaboration with members of global business teams, and local teams.


Commercial Account Manager Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Holding a University or Bachelor’s degree in business administration or computer science or equivalent
  • Experienced in the IT industry as well as in Account Management for a specific vertical (FSI / Telco / Public Sector)
  • Experienced and good in communicating with C-level connections
  • Competent in the sale of IT Solutions (Servers, Storage), Services, and outsourcing
  • Excellent in verbal and written communication and presentation
  • Qualified accountant with relevant experience
  • A keen desire to learn

2. The Commercial Account Manager is tasked with fostering expansion and ensuring the loyalty of clients within the Relocation, Logistics, and Distribution sectors. An ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of the dynamics within the moving, logistics, and distribution fields, encompassing economic factors, operational methods, sectorial advancements and challenges, procurement procedures, and organizational frameworks. They must demonstrate an unwavering dedication to quality, excel in prioritizing tasks, foresee client requirements, and exhibit proficiency in data analysis and the art of presenting information.

Commercial Account Manager Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Point of contact for key clients and align appropriate FlatRate Moving operational verticals to drive connectivity between FlatRate Moving and its client at all levels of both organizations.
  • Lead team to meet and exceed Key Performance Indicators.
  • Identify opportunities for growth, develop pursuit plans, and lead teams to capture and grow the account.
  • Identify risks to profitability and/or retention and develop and lead mitigation strategies to ensure profitable retention of accounts.
  • Manage account data, perform analytics, and produce insights and reports.
  • Lead the development of client/account deliverables.


Commercial Account Manager Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related degree strongly preferred.
  • Relocation (moving)/Logistics/Distribution B2B experience in the service industry strongly preferred.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant role or job area.
  • Strong computer skills required (Microsoft Word/Excel).
  • Good attention to detail
