The Academic Administrator is tasked with assisting the Director of Curriculum in the daily operations of our summer academic programs, ensuring the provision of a nurturing, memorable, secure, and encouraging atmosphere for both students and faculty. This role encompasses the execution of various duties and responsibilities that align with the role's expertise, knowledge, and capabilities as may be assigned by the Director of Curriculum or their designated representatives.

1. Academic Administrator Roles and Responsibilities

  • Focuses on managing logistical and administrative tasks to aid the Director of Curriculum and educators, ensuring smooth course delivery and academic operations.
  • Acts as the primary liaison between the administrative team and teaching staff, facilitating clear and timely dissemination of key messages, updates, and changes.
  • Provides direct support to faculty members, addressing queries and requests to foster an enabling teaching environment.
  • Ensures the availability and readiness of educational facilities, equipment, supplies, and materials, aligning with the standards and timelines required for successful course execution.
  • Takes an active role in identifying and addressing potential issues, working towards solutions that align with the institution's goals and values.
  • Develops and implements backup plans for academic resources, ensuring teaching and learning can proceed uninterrupted under any circumstances.
