WHAT IS A SENIOR ACCOUNTANT ?
The Senior Accountant is to assist with the routine day-to-day accounting and administration of a variety of corporate entities and fund structures under the direction of a Financial Reporting Manager. Be responsible of all accounting aspects including bookkeeping, interim and annual accounts preparation in accordance with GAAP and/or IFRS, reconciliation, depreciation and amortization of fixed assets, any ad-hoc reporting for a portfolio of corporate entities and fund structures (including Real Estate).

1. Senior Accountant Duties and Responsibilities
- Liaise with clients and other external parties such as accountants, tax advisors and financial institutions where necessary
- Be responsible of the relationship with our clients and business partners from an accounting perspective, and work closely with our (Senior) Legal Administrators
- Guidance of audit and consolidation procedures in accordance with GAAP and/or IFRS
- Assist our Head of Accounting in reviewing and authorising procedures
- Take care of invoices settlement, including review and/or authorization of payments within the appropriate banking systems
- Be responsible of filing statutory annual accounts, corporate income tax and VAT returns on a timely manner
- Central Bank reporting and/or reporting to other financial regulators
- Guide, train and develop Junior Accountants and Corporate Accountants
- Prepare and reconcile periodic direct and indirect tax returns
- Act as a mentor to junior staff
- Undertake routine office and clerical tasks where necessary
- Maintain accurate client records within Viewpoint, eFront, Yardi and other internal systems
2. Senior Accountant Qualifications and Requirements
- Relevant degree in Accounting, Economics or Finance (Bachelor or Master degree)
- Experience in Accounting and/or Control in an international environment in a Corporate Services / Fund Services / Real Estate organization, Audit Firm or similar experience
- Broad knowledge of GAAP and/or IFRS
- Good knowledge of financial management (accounting, reporting, tax, corporate governance, etc.)
- Strong communication skills in English
- Team player and Client services mindset
- Critical, Hands-On, Eye for detail and willing to walk the extra mile
- A can-do-mentality with a problem-solving mentality and a helicopter view
- Sound technical knowledge (relevant in-house training to be provided through the Aztec Academy)
- Computer literacy skills are essential
