The Sales Executive will target and drive strategic solution sales initiatives, focusing on energy efficiency and the green economy. They will identify market opportunities, prospect for new customers, and manage complex sales cycles to meet business goals and regional quotas.

1. Sales Executive Duties and Tasks

  • Research market and market verticals and create qualified target account list
  • Strategically prospect for new customers and partnerships by conducting lead generation through cold calls and email campaigns
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key decision-makers
  • Create and maintain a sales pipeline to ensure bookings over-achievement
  • Negotiate complex deals and assist in responding to RFPs to win business
  • Manage complex sales cycle through closure
  • Achieve business goals and quota for assigned region or vertical
  • Consultative solution seller with a problem -solving mindset
  • Collaborative team player with a go getter attitude

2. Sales Executive Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 10 plus years of business development/sales experience in technology and solution sales
  • Skilled at value prop selling and negotiating and navigating complex business solutions
  • Strong relationship building/interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize sales work
  • Experience in sales to IoT, energy efficiency/service, alternative/renewable energy, property management, QSR, and/or building controls/management systems markets a plus, but not required
  • Excellent verbal, written, slide generation and presentation skills
  • Passion for improving customer business results
  • Consistent sales quota achievement in previous role
