28. QHSE Engineer Role Purpose
- Incident Investigation: Investigate incidents, analysing, assessing corrective measures and monitoring the implementation of corrective measures
- Recurrence Prevention: Assist in the implementation of activities to prevent recurrence
- Non-conformance Close-out: Monitor and ensure the timely close-out of non-conformances and audit reports and carry out investigations
- QHSE Reporting: QHSE Reporting and analysis (as summaries of incidents, non-conformance and audit reports and QHSE statistics)
- Audit Planning and Execution: Plan and carry out internal, project and subcontractor QHSE audits
- External Audit Assistance: Assist in external audits
- Legislation Translation: Translate and provide information about new legislation, regulations and corporate guidelines and implement
- Target Achievement: Realise targets within the QHSE year plan
29. QHSE Engineer Duties
- QHSE Compliance: Ensure full compliance with all the Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures
- Management System Support: Provide support to the QHSE Manager with the QHSE Management Systems
- Internal Audit Execution: Conduct internal audits for the QHSE processes
- Root Cause Analysis: Identify root causes and implement actions to prevent the recurrence of issues
- Waste Stream Management: Manage the business-relevant waste streams with proven knowledge of all applicable Environmental Legislation
- Audit and Investigation Participation: Participate in internal audits, reports and investigations, supply quality issues and non-conforming material
- Corrective Action Facilitation: Facilitate comprehensive Corrective Actions investigations into identified non-conformances
- Customer Quality Support: Provide Customer Support for Quality-related issues
- Data Reporting: Provide the QHSE Manager with weekly data
- Department Liaison: Liaise with various engineering/manufacturing departments
30. HSE Engineer Accountabilities
- HSE Culture Leadership: Lead a positive HSE culture and behaviour
- Critical Behaviour Championing: Champion the Critical Safety Behaviours Programme, setting the tone and leading by example
- Policy Compliance: Operate within standardised HSE policies, processes and systems
- Strategy Implementation Support: Support the implementation of the operational elements of the HSE strategy, as well as support specific HSE activities
- HSE Coordination: Interface with colleagues in HSE to coordinate the local HSE services and provide advice
- Management System Support: Support project leadership in implementing the management system
- Project HSE Planning: Responsible for the coordination, preparation and delivery of the Project HSE Plan
- Client Liaison: Liaise with the Client on HSE matters and participate in relevant Client HSE meetings
- Regulatory Compliance Assurance: Help ensure all project activities meet all HSE regulatory requirements and the Client's requirements
- Performance Tracking: Track project HSE performance and trends, and report on a monthly basis
- Lessons Learned Implementation: Ensure HSEQ capitalises on Lessons Learned and is performed in accordance with best practice, striving to mitigate risk, promoting safety and integrity consistently
- Tendering Process Support: Provide support and input to the tendering process
