The HR Business Partner is dedicated to delivering comprehensive Human Resources services to employees working outside of Processing Operations, such as in Live Operations, Feed Mills, and Transportation, among others. As a HR Business Partner, this role is pivotal in managing staffing at all levels, fostering positive employee relations, administering benefits, and ensuring the uniform application of organizational policies and HR procedures.
Human Resources Business Partner Duties and Roles:
- Frequent site visits of each location with a gained understanding of business needs to assist business leadership in forecasting issues and delivering HR solutions, including Staffing
- Conduct HR compliance audits at each location to ensure compliance with Federal and State requirements
- Conduct investigations as required and finds resolution to employee complaints
- Administer Leaves of Absence in compliance with FMLA and Company policy
- Ensure a smooth transition for all hourly and exempt new hires through a documented onboarding document and schedule
- Timely assistance with new hire benefits and open enrollment
- Manage the recruitment and interview process through selection of most qualified candidate
Human Resources Business Partner Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
- B.S. Human Resources, Business or Similar
- SHRM PHR or equivalent attained within 2 years
- HR Compliance related knowledge – I-9, ADA, FMLA, Worker’s Compensation, EEO
- 5 - 7 Years HR Generalist experience
- Excellent skills in communication, problem solving, and conflict management
- Excellent Microsoft Office computer skills
- Partner closely with regional HR partners on global strategy and execution

This individual will not act as a “consultant”; this role shares the accountability for talent and business goals for the business unit and the company. Acts as a strategic business partner to the Canadian General Manager. The position will design, build and execute strategic talent objectives that drive exceptional business performance.
HRBP Tasks:
- Support the GM profile among the Canadian organization, providing strategic counsel on communications and employee event opportunities
- Coach and trusted advisor to leadership team colleagues.

HRBP Ability, Skills and Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent level of education Preferred area of study: HR, Business or Commercial related.
- Experience operating in a business partner capacity with senior leaders and people managers, either in a generalist or operational HR capacity.
- Integrate and partner with HR colleagues in the Recruiting, Learning & Development, Compensation, Legal, and HR Programs teams to implement solutions and help scale the business
- Demonstrable knowledge of best HR practice.
- PC literate with a good working knowledge of Windows Office tools, experience with Workday would be desirable.
- Able to influence and build strong relationships with business leaders.
- Ability to be proactive and deliver results for client groups whilst minimizing risk to the business.
