- Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice or current national registration as dietician and state licensure or certification for the state of practice
- Certified Diabetes Care & Education Specialist (CDCES) credential issued by CBDCE
- Certification Board for Diabetes Care and Education Specialists CDCES credential required or must be able to obtain within 24 months of employment.
- Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
- Graduate Certificate in Diabetes Education
- Credentialed Diabetes Educator (CDE) with the Australian Diabetes Educators Association (ADEA) or working towards
- Highly developed clinical and interpersonal skills including: problem solving, conflict resolution, communication & liaison skills
- Experience in acute hospital based complex care environments
