Case Aide Job Description Template

1. About the Role

Supporting a family through an out-of-home placement takes more than good intentions. A Case Aide handles the logistical, administrative, and direct-service tasks that keep child welfare caseloads moving - scheduling Family Team Conferences, transporting clients to court hearings, gathering vital records, and maintaining the documentation trails that case planners depend on. Within county agencies, non-profits operating under ORR oversight, and developmental disability divisions, this role answers directly to licensed social workers and case managers. Entry-level, yet essential to permanency outcomes.

2. Position Summary

You will own the day-to-day support functions that keep active cases on track, serving as the Case Aide who ensures clients reach appointments, records stay current, and families are connected to community resources without delay. The position sits within a structured case planning team, typically reporting to an Assistant Program Director or supervising Social Worker, and operates across both field and office settings under close professional supervision.

3. Why Join Us

Career Impact: Direct exposure to child welfare proceedings, ORR compliance requirements, and court intake processes builds a documented practice foundation that supports advancement into Case Manager or Social Worker roles.
