29. Installation Technician Responsibilities and Key Tasks
- Equipment Installation: Install of automated waste oil equipment.
- Equipment Repair: Repair/rebuild automated waste oil equipment.
- Shop Maintenance: Maintain the shop floor for cleanliness, inventory tools/equipment, and clean/wash the work area.
- Professional Conduct: Interact with others in a professional and ethical manner.
- Procedure Compliance: Follow department and company procedures.
- Attendance: Keep up regular attendance and punctuality, regular attendance and punctuality for the smooth operation of this company.
- Machine Installation: Perform installations, removals and relocations of water and ice vending machines at predetermined locations.
- Equipment Testing: Test newly installed equipment and ensure that it is safe and available for customer use before leaving the location.
- Water Line Setup: Identify points of installation for water lines for access to water vending machines.
- Plumbing Service: Perform machine service functions that may require plumbing replacements.
- Vehicle Operation: Drive a company-provided vehicle (24 ft. Truck) in a safe manner and in accordance with company standard operating procedures as well as DOT regulations.
- On-Call Availability: Remote routes, where there are limited staff resources due to the geographical location, the Technician may be required to be in "Call-In" mode or available to cover service calls on weekends and on Company-observed holidays.
30. Installation Technician Roles and Responsibilities
- Countertop Installation: Install up to 60 sq ft. countertop slabs according to required procedures.
- Stone Fabrication: Responsible for safely operating power equipment to cut, grind, and polish stone.
- Truck Operation: Drive small to medium-sized trucks.
- Customer Instruction: Communicate operating and care instructions to customers.
- Service Calls: Answer service calls to provide maintenance work for customers.
- Schedule Management: Manage an organized daily schedule.
- Customer Satisfaction: Maintain customer satisfaction by delivering excellence in products and service.
- Customer Service: Provide superior customer service by working out solutions in the best interest of the customer.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Maintain vehicle inventory and appearance.
31. Installation Technician Functions
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adheres to Uniper's PPE safety practices to safeguard both themselves and members.
- Job Preparation: Review the job schedule and prepare for the day, ensuring you have the necessary materials.
- Device Installation: Install the Uniper device in a member's residence and connect them to either the home Wi-Fi or a hotspot.
- Material Evaluation: Evaluate the necessary supplies furnished for the job, delivered materials, and the best way to install.
- Issue Reporting: Promptly reports defective material or equipment, inaccuracies, or omissions in job information that may result in an inability to complete the installation.
- Device Retrieval: Responsible for the retrieval or uninstallation of the Uniper device.
- Equipment Handling: Work on-site to set up, program, dismantle and reconstruct equipment.
- Customer Scheduling: Contact customers prior to the installation date to verify the schedule.
- Team Guidance: Provide guidance and coaching to installers as it relates to work assignments, including specific work steps, proper use of tools, machinery and overall job performance.
