1. Field Representative Duties

  • Audit Facility Suitability: Conduct audits of selected physical facilities to determine adequacy and suitability for residency/fellowship education.
  • Report Writing: Following the site visit, in a timely fashion, compose or contribute to a comprehensive, objective, factual, and non-judgmental report that assists the Review Committee or Institutional Review Committee in making an accreditation decision.
  • Documentation Review: Report omissions and/or discrepancies discovered between documentation prepared by the program or sponsoring institution, and the comments of the various participants in the site visit, e.g., residents/fellows, faculty members, and others.
  • Electronic Submission: Transmit the report electronically to the ACGME offices.
  • Deadline Adherence: Meet pre-established deadlines for the submission of the report and associated materials.
  • Knowledge Maintenance: Maintain current knowledge in the fields of education and accreditation.
  • Regulatory Updates: Keep informed about changes to the Program Requirements and Institutional Requirements, and in the process for conducting the accreditation site visit through the review of written documentation, conference calls, electronic mail, and face-to-face briefings with Review Committee/Institutional Review Committee representatives and staff.
  • Professional Development: Participate in the annual professional development meetings for the ACGME Accreditation Field Representatives, and other meetings scheduled on an ad hoc basis.

2. Field Representative Details

  • Travel Management: Manage an extensive travel schedule.
  • National Travel Execution: Travel nationwide to carry out assigned accreditation site visits.
  • Local Travel Coordination: Travel to and from program/institution sites.
  • Support Functions: Perform logistical, clerical, and training functions to support the site visit process.
  • Visit Arrangements Communication: Communicate with program and institution leaders and support staff to make arrangements for site visits.
  • Logistics Information: Inform program and institution leaders of the interview schedule for the site visit day and any other logistics to facilitate the visit.
  • Accommodation Arrangements: Make arrangements for travel and hotel accommodations.
  • Schedule Review: Review preliminary schedule and inform the Senior Vice President, Department of Field Activities well in advance of scheduling conflicts, conflicts of interest, vacation plans, and attendance at Review Committee and/or other professional development meetings.
  • Expense Reporting: File expense reports and perform other required clerical tasks.
  • New Staff Orientation: Participate in the orientation of new Accreditation Field Representatives and new Specialist Site Visitors by the Senior Vice President, Department of Field Activities.
  • Professional Education Facilitation: Facilitate the continuing professional education of current members of the Accreditation Field Staff.
  • Process Improvement Participation: Participate in ongoing efforts to improve all aspects of the site visit process.
  • Evaluation Review: Review evaluations from program and institution leaders and Review Committee reviewers for suggestions on how to improve the site visit process and/or the reports.
  • Improvement Suggestions Sharing: Share suggestions for improvement in any aspect of the site visit process with the Senior Vice President, Department of Field Activities and Associate Director, Department of Field Activities.

3. Field Representative Responsibilities

  • Relationship Management: Maintain and expand relationships with customers to achieve the given targets in terms of origination, applying sales tools and techniques.
  • Customer Account Planning: Develop and execute customer-based account plans for customers that will allow to meet origination and risk management volume.
  • Contract Compliance Monitoring: Following the execution of the contract by the supply chain and operations departments.
  • Document Compliance Checking: Checking documents compliance (contracts, payment documents) with the Company's internal procedures and legal requirements.
  • Market Monitoring: Monitor customer and competitor activity and industry trends.
  • Business Growth Support: Support business growth by disseminating favorable information of the organization and its products and services.
  • Issue Resolution: Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Voter Mobilization: Mobilize voters via phone banking and canvassing.
  • Voter Engagement: Engage with voters through doorbelling in preassigned turfs (neighborhoods) to persuade community members to support the campaign and turn out in November.

4. Field Representative Job Summary

  • Customer Assistance: Responds to customer questions while in the field and assists customers in locating the source of leaks on the service property, outside of the residence.
  • Meter Installation and Repair: Installs, repairs, and replaces automated read meters and radios.
  • Work Order Completion: Complete all daily work orders in a timely manner, using a Utility-issued tablet.
  • Rapport Maintenance: Maintain a positive and cohesive rapport with business office staff, to provide the best possible service to customers.

  • Repair Reporting: Reports all large meter, meter pit, and lid repair or replacement needs to the supervisor.

  • Utility Courier Responsibilities: Responsible for delivery and pick-up of all Utility mail, miscellaneous correspondence within the City Departments and daily banking.
  • Service Management: Responsible for service turn-ons, turn-offs, and other customer requests.
  • Additional Meter Tasks: Performs all necessary meter-related tasks outside of route reading.
  • Equipment Inspection and Maintenance: Perform weekly inspection of vehicle and equipment to ensure proper mechanical functioning and perform maintenance and/or repairs to equipment.
  • Maintenance Documentation: Complete and submit weekly vehicle maintenance sheets.
  • Vehicle Cleaning: Wash and clean interior of the truck weekly to maintain a presentable appearance to the public.
  • Safe Vehicle Operation: Operates vehicle, utilizing care and caution and following all traffic laws and department policies.

5. Field Representative Accountabilities

  • Grower Relationship Maintenance: Visit growers to maintain strong business relationships.
  • Issue Resolution and Monitoring: Address any issues they may have, monitor potato storage for quality, and monitor the fields.
  • Collaboration on Grower Issues: Work closely with the Field Superintendent to assess grower issues, potato requirements, and organize potato deliveries.
  • Monthly Summary Preparation: Prepare monthly summary comparing finished pounds to pack and potatoes remaining.
  • Raw Material Management: Address shortages of raw material with the Plant Manager and may include purchases from various locations outside Alberta.
  • Cost Efficiency: Responsible for obtaining the lowest cost price raw material.
  • Grower Relationship Enhancement: Maintain and enhance grower relationships.
  • Industry Participation: Participate in Potato Growers of Alberta yearly meeting, etc.
  • Data Provision: Provide timely data on potato disposition to the Cavendish Farms Management team.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities: Oversee full-time Field Superintendent, and Potato Receiving operation.
  • Production Coordination: Work very closely with the Production staff to determine the needs and balance of potatoes.
  • Food Safety Reporting: Report food safety and quality issues to personnel with authority to initiate actions.
