• Provide management and oversight of all freight, logistics, and related activities globally for IEWC
• Provide management information and reporting to the VP of Supply Chain and other management, as well as other constituents
• Resolve problems regarding transportation, logistics systems, imports/exports, and customer issues
• Establish and maintain appropriate systems for measuring progress, benchmark best practices, and revise courses of action by the results of such measurement and current conditions
• Participate in the ongoing development of the Company’s Operating Plan, particularly as it relates to logistics matters
• Participate in or lead cross-functional teams to ensure the continuous, ongoing and cost-effective improvement of customer satisfaction, processes, methods, productivity and quality, relative to logistics
• Develop and analyze cost savings or cost reduction opportunities and implement

Job Summary: 

• Provide oversight to the Transportation Manager on all transportation services
• Oversee all carrier/forwarder/broker selections and the negotiation and maintenance of rate and service contracts with carriers, customs brokers, freight forwarders and other transportation providers
• Oversee system enhancements and maintenance as it relates to Logistics
• ConnectShip carrier routes, rates, FSC, accessorial, and pro numbers
• Participate in the development and implementation of company-wide import/export and transportation policies, procedures, and controls
• Ensure that transportation providers adhere to import and export compliance policies

• Lead guidance on import/export Freight Classification, Harmonization Coding, Country of Origin and NAFTA Certificates of Origin
• Oversee the preparation of SQ01 shipping documents including invoices, packing lists, SLI, and bills of lading
• Ensure processes and paperwork comply with customs regulations and company objectives
• Act as a subject matter expert for understanding and communicating regulations issued by the Office of Foreign Assets Control, Bureau of Industry and Security, and the Department of State 
• Guide internal business partners in day-to-day compliance matters, including customer and transaction screening, ECCN classification, EAR & ITAR export license determination and drafting licensing applications
• Responsible for developing a Logistics succession plan to ensure business and personnel success
