- Oversee relationships with outside vendors, including transfer agents, fund accountants, fund administrators, custodians, and other third-party service providers for the US ETF and Mutual Fund businesses.
- Lead operational risk assessments and provide ongoing leadership to mitigate risk and ensure adherence to contractual policies, procedures, and controls.
- Manage the evaluation and resolution of complex operational and strategic issues.
- Manage relationships with internal departments and external clients to enhance overall client experience.
- Design and implement operating procedures and system enhancements to improve processing service and partner with IT to drive global consistency in technology use, metrics, and processes while meeting business needs.
- Oversee processes and ensure compliance with internal and external guidelines, policies, and regulations relating to investment operations and interact with global colleagues to implement best practices and global consistency.
- Represent the Investment Operations department in US regulatory audits.
- Participate in designing new operating models to meet product demands for new business.
- Collaborate with other departments and jurisdictions to achieve a true, consistent global operating model for the firm.
- Work with portfolio management, technology, compliance, legal, and risk to develop procedures and protocols that support new and enhanced products and services.
- Work closely with service providers to understand standard industry practice in various markets and determine how Dimensional can best operate within those practices.
- Monitor the performance of function-specific teams and managers and oversee training and development initiatives, coaching and mentoring staff to further develop skills and successfully achieve objectives, with potential management of a small team based on experience.
- Define goals and objectives and establish short- and long-term strategies for global fund operations functions.
