Job Summary: 

• Provide support to the Global Category AVP and Procurement SLT in developing a business listing of preferred suppliers for various HR commodities globally
• Establish and maintain a needs-based segmented supply base
• Ensure that local sourcing practices and processes conform to overall procurement policies
• Ensure alignment to and understanding of purchasing policies and procedures so that purchasing standards are upheld
• Suggest and work with the Category AVP/Procurement SLT on process improvements, e.g., introduction of more efficient working methods
• Under the mentorship of the Category AVP/Procurement SLT implements systems to supervise supplier performance for key strategic providers
• Develop a team of buyers and sourcing leads to support all category activity
• Globalize category support and strategy to all key regions with a focus on EMEA and ASIA
• Liaise closely with the end-users, including the Executive Leadership team and third parties, on various HR Benefit plans and offerings for Cognizant employees
• Act as a trusted advisor for key partners in resolving their requirements to provide early input into the sourcing process
• Provide recommendations for Talent Acquisition sourcing initiatives based on fulfillment needs by region, volume, and skills
• Negotiate local or regional contracts in conjunction with the legal teams.
• Ensure that end-users' requirements are sufficiently detailed in an appropriate format for various RFx activities

Job Summary: 

• Develop and execute INNIO sourcing strategies for assigned categories and suppliers - power train (pistons, valves, seats) and engineered components (intercoolers, turbos, oil coolers, generators)
• Excellent manufacturing processes understanding/acumen for assigned categories
• Develop negotiation strategies and lead negotiations to achieve company OTD, Quality, and deflation goals
• Lead supplier segmentation, selection, support supplier development, and ensure high-quality supplier relationships and operational management
• Understand business compliance requirements and drive opportunities to eliminate/minimize supply chain risks
• Drive sourcing initiatives including best cost country sourcing (BCC), productivity, rationalization of supply base, sole source reduction, lead time reduction, on-time delivery and quality improvements, Six Sigma/lean requirements, and cash flow improvement, total cost of ownership (TCO)
• Negotiate with suppliers for long-term agreements that outline business strategy and requirements

• Proactively support project/initiative leaders in NPI (New Product Introductions) and product cost-out processes to contribute to achieving sourcing and business goals

• Develop and execute a recovery plan for suppliers that fall short of expectations
• Own, drive, and report progress/bottlenecks on Value Creation Plan (VCP)-initiatives
