Job Summary:

• Provide medical coverage for all physical training evolutions to include aquatic and outdoor training evolutions.
• Streamline the medical screening/clearing process.
• Obtain and maintain thorough knowledge, understanding and application of all required Naval Special Warfare medical protocols.
• Inventory, sign for and maintain accountability of issued medical equipment and supplies.
• Respond to emergencies and incidents to resolve the situation in accordance with standard medical procedures and military protocols.
• Stabilize, treat and transport injured students to provide appropriate medical care.
• Plan, coordinate and brief daily medical plans and procedures to ensure that all training evolutions are supported.
• Appropriately document and communicate all treatment provided with medical authorities and the Instructor staff.
• Maintain control and accountability of all personally identifiable information (PII), medical chits and medical records.
• Plan, coordinate and conduct daily sick calls for students
• Coordinate and communicate requirements with the unit medical staff.
• Assist with medical screening and in-processing

Job Summary:

• Transport injured or sick individuals to medical facilities
• Determine the nature and extent of illness or injury to establish first aid procedures
• Administer prescribed first-aid treatment at the site of emergency, or in a specially equipped vehicle
• Monitor communication equipment to maintain contact with the dispatcher
• Communicate with medical personnel at emergency treatment facilities
• Recognizes and immediately reports changes in patient’s status and condition and reports to RN or Charge RN.
• Accurately obtains and documents patient vital signs, which include temperature, respirations, pulse, weight and blood pressure.
• Performs and documents point-of-care blood glucose monitoring per Physician’s order and hospital policies and procedures.

• Assures call lights are answered and patient needs are met.

Job Summary:

• Review student medical surveys and other data.
• Provide subject matter expertise, at the EMT-B level, to staff and students, including injury prevention and mitigation.
• Perform any relevant medical duty in the course of physical and aquatic training modules.
• Maintain physical fitness condition commensurate with field duties and treating and transporting injured students in a high-paced environment.
• Paramedics shall perform any relevant medical duty in support of Naval Special Warfare Basic Training Command. 
• Navigates and drives ambulance to and from scenes and treatment centers. 
• Provides stabilization of scene and requests additional assistance
• Determines nature and extent of illness or injury and patient's history from available sources. 
• Administers emergency medical care within the scope of practice, including patient stabilization, monitoring, and resuscitation, from the scene to the receiving medical facility.
• Contacts medical personnel, reports/records observations and follows directives from supervising Physician or Registered Nurse.
• Maintains equipment, restocks supplies and cleans ambulance
• Greet patients as they enter and follow up via phone
