Design Engineer Roles and Responsibilities:

• Producing 2D layout drawings and 2D to 3D conversion projects
• Assist with data management using Enterprise PDM software
• Research new materials and methods of development
• Ensure components and assemblies adhere to applicable industry and business standards
• Use Solidworks to design parts and equipment (Make drawings for manufacturing, Ensure designs adhere to industry and business standards, Example equipment includes dewatering screens, DAFs and DAF auxiliary equipment, platforms, tanks, frames, stands, skids, basic piping principles etc.)
• Work with manufacturing manager to ensure projects remain on schedule and manufacturing has everything needed to keep the schedule

Design Engineer Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• Experience with SolidWorks
• Sheet Metal and Weldment Design using SolidWorks.
• Must have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Design Engineer Functions:

• Make recommendations on system design for In-Building Wireless system projects
• Participate in site walks of venues to determine the design parameters and key performance metric (KPI) criteria which influence the design
• Determine capacity, coverage, and equipment requirements
• Plan and develop design in accordance with design standards to ensure system quality and meet customer requirements
• Propose and present design solutions to the customer and gain customer buy-in and acceptance
• Use RF tools to perform radio propagation modeling and prediction and perform propagation model tuning and integration

Design Engineer Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the production of site designs for a wide variety of site/civil projects for public and private sector clients
• Site layout, grading and erosion control, drainage and stormwater, utility collection and distribution, or combination thereof.
• Actively participates in plan production efforts and works to develop client solutions consistent with Firm standards, the requirements of regulatory agencies and our clients, and the principles of Grounded Design.

Design Engineer Duties:

• Prepare detailed designs based on written and verbal specifications of desired machinery functions
• Prepare detailed specifications, BOM and cost estimates for customer driven requirements
• Troubleshoot problems occurring during development, fabrication, assembly, or commissioning of machinery
• Supervise design support functions as required to facilitate the delivery of assigned projects
• Provide both in-field and phone support for Service related activities

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
• Solid Modeling design experience, Autodesk Inventor experience preferred
• Minimum three years of experience in machinery design, robotics integration experience is a plus
