Civil Engineer Roles and Responsibilities:

• Work on projects in all aspects of civil engineering including site design and grading plans, roadway design, water, sewer and stormwater utility design, wastewater treatment facility design
• Prepare construction drawings and specifications, cost estimates
• Perform stormwater calculations and reports
• Prepare permitting packages for local, state, and federal regulatory agencies
• Perform site visits, construction inspection
• Attend construction meetings, meet with municipal and private section clients under the supervision of a P.E.
• Prepare Traffic Engineering analyses and reports
• Assists with proposals including bid documents, project reports, studies, and other documentation

Civil Engineer Requirements and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• E.I. Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Experience; previous internship experience is a plus.
• Strong time management skills and ability to work under minimal supervision.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Working knowledge with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Proficiency with MS Outlook, MS Excel, and MS Word.
• Working knowledge with ICPR 3 / 4 is a plus.
• Working knowledge of ARC GIS products is a plus.
• Knowledge of fishing and golfing is a plus.

Civil Resident Engineer Duties:

• Manage a wide variety of projects including subdivision developments, municipal infrastructure upgrades and resource developments which will likely include the design and construction of water, sewer, drainage, land development and transportation infrastructure
• Manage multi-disciplinary teams in completion of preliminary and detailed design projects
• Prepare correspondence, reports, proposals, expressions of interest, specifications and meeting minutes
• Manage projects including project team direction, coordination, monitoring schedules and budgets, and invoice preparation
• Communicate with clients, agencies stakeholders, and the public
• Perform business development and marketing activities to current and potential clients in order to generate future business

Civil Resident Engineer Qualifications:

• Must be registered (or eligible to register) as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in the province of British Columbia
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering and project management
• Knowledge of and experience with application of BC/Canadian engineering standards
• Strong project management, technical and analytical skills
• Strong technical writing skills; experienced in the preparation of correspondence, reports and proposals
• Effective verbal communicator, including presentation, facilitation and listening skills
• Strategic, analytical and practical thinker

Civil Engineer Roles and Responsibilities: 

• Support On-shore Wind, Solar, Battery Storage, and Re-powering projects as assigned based on internal approvals.
• Manage engineering implementation, including: cost estimating, project scheduling, permit integration into project plans, engineering document control, and other activities necessary during engineering, construction, and operational phases of a project.
• Contribute to development and maintenance of design standards and criteria for project infrastructure.
• Oversee quality aspects of engineering and construction, including ensuring compliance with design standards and accuracy of final documentation and test data.
• Manage and provide oversight of external professionals who provide technical expertise and project support through development, design, construction, and operations. 
• Participate in micrositing trips to finalize project layout and facility locations.
• Coordinate and maintain project documentation for due diligence review by an independent engineering firm.
• Provide technical support to plant operations as may be required for project infrastructure, facilities and systems. 
• Support special projects needs for Operations to address any Civil related issues.
• Ensure all relevant internal controls are followed. Develop new controls as needed.
• Conduct safety observations during site visits to support Corporate safety goals.
• Coordinate with Site Managers and QA/QC inspectors to ensure projects are built per approved plans and specifications.
• Provide assistance as needed to the Development Engineering team in project development, planning, and design with Environmental & Permitting, Meteorology, Property, and Transmission Interconnect teams.
• Work with the Development Engineering team to assemble technically complete EPC (engineer, procure, construct) bid packages. 
• Assist the management of the bid process with the assigned Project Manager.

Civil Engineer Requirements and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong preference for Civil Engineering degree candidates.
• Civil project engineering design and/or construction.
• Experience in a broad range of wind and/or solar project development, design, permitting, construction, and operations.
• Working knowledge of consulting services and construction contracts.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to understand technical documentation related to renewable energy projects such as permitting documents, local codes and regulations, civil, geotechnical reports, hydrology models/reports, SWPPP, and construction specifications.
• Proficiency using MS Office, Word, Excel, MS Project, Visio, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Google Earth, SAP, and other database management systems.
• Professional Engineer (Civil) Registration
• Advanced degrees in Engineering or Business.

Civil Engineer Director Roles and Responsibilities:

• Utilisation of Civil Design experience over a wide range of Civil Disciplines to secure Design Approvals
• Presentation of drawings and proposals and justification of design decisions to client in clear manner
• Integration with other team disciplines to provide a workable design
• Provision of Design Risk Assessments, evidence of Safety by Design capability
• Adherence to procedures within the department
• Work effectively with internal design team to produce and check designs effectively
• Management of Design process through TQ's , Change Management Forms etc

Civil Engineer Requirements and Qualifications:

Civil Engineer Director Roles and Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning and implementation of projects.
• Defines project tasks, schedule and resource requirements.
• Complies with and helps the enforcement of company standards, policies and procedures.
• Manages project budget and analyzes project profitability, revenue, margins, billing rates and utilization
• Conduct team meetings with project team and evaluate and coordinate the project.
• Either lead or provide support with project proposals.
• Prepare client-billing information on assigned projects and review billing folders
• Provide day-to-day guidance to project team staff as needed.
• Provides on-going communication with the client related to the project.
• Assists Practice Leader in client maintenance activities and the pursuit of new clients when requested
• Coordinates city submittal and review process.

Civil Engineer Requirements and Qualifications:

• Experience in Southern Nevada is a plus.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience required.
