• Leading continual improvement of the engineering systems used in the management, development and support of P-8A Poseidon, P-3 Orion and Aircraft Life Support systems and support the integration of future aviation systems allocated to SRSPO.
• Exercising the responsibilities of the Chief of Office of Airworthiness in accordance with the Defence Aviation Safety Regulations.
• Advising the Chief Engineer on matters relating to the capability of the Design Support Network.
• Leading process improvement initiatives and associated measurement and auditing.
• Capturing and interpreting engineering performance metrics.
• Reviewing and approving technical documentation on allocated projects.
• Representing the Chief Engineer at project and design reviews and providing authoritative advice to unit executives, operational airworthiness authorities and project teams.
• Providing advice to SRSPO sustainment, engineering and project staff on all aspects of SRSPO aviation capabilities.
• Attend monthly Transportation Commission meeting
• Work with the Chief Financial Officer to manage the delivery of the program in the context of the cash flow and planning budgets (totals) of the organization.
