Job Summary:

• Serves as subject matter expert for server-client solutions, network infrastructure, touchscreens, thick/thin clients, PAC / PLC, Servos, variable frequency drives, motors, analog/digital devices, ethernet / other communication devices, weighing systems, and other control systems
• Designs/implements manufacturing intellectual property (e.g., PLC and HMI programs) version control software
• Develops processes, planning, and execution for network and manufacturing hardware patching and migrations
• Maintains all electrical and control documentation in separate centralized repositories for plant and corporate levels
• Applies root cause analysis and other tools related to electrical and controls systems
• Provides input on / assists METT in developing scopes of work for capital projects and controls migration
• Reviews /approves vendor and contractor bids for scope execution of capital projects and controls migration
• Reviews / approves CBRs
• Gathers information to support METT controls engineer for aging / obsolete control systems and components
• Assists Technology Leader & METT team with prioritizing system/component replacements
• Assists in the set-up of appropriate systems integrators and OEMs with vendor ID and VPN access so can provide remote access
