• Responsibility shall be the management of all safety and security matters in accordance with MTA C&D, NYCT, and MTA procedures and guidelines.
• Shall ensure that the Contractor shall maintain safe, clean and healthy worksites until Final Completion of the Project.
• Review and approve all safety related submissions, including the Contractor’s Accident Prevention Program and Hazard Communication Program, the Contractor’s Safety Management Program, the Contractor’s key safety personnel such as the Safety Engineer and Safety Supervisors and the Contractor’s Safe Work Plans, in collaboration with MTA C&D Safety Management.
• Maintain a log for all Safe Work Plans and ensure that no work starts without approved Safe Work Plans.
• Coordinate and participate in periodic safety walkthroughs with the Construction Contractor.
• Perform ongoing spot checks of both Contractor photo ID’s and Contractor Access Forms as part of daily inspection responsibilities. 
• Maintain the Contractor Access Form as part of the Contractor’s permanent files.
• Conducting daily safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with government regulations
• Ensuring that Occupational Safety and Health Administration laws are strictly obeyed
• Develop strategies to minimize or eliminate the risks or exposure to such hazards

• Manage large, complex and/or multiple construction projects across various countries in EMEA through due diligence, design, build and commissioning.
• Ensure requirements of local design and construction safety coordination/roles are pre-determined and managed by the stakeholders involved in the project.

• Providing independent oversight of construction and service and maintenance work in progress and assisting Management with subcontract ES&H compliance and oversight functions.
