Job Summary: 

• Carry out all aspects of mechanical and gas work to maintain premises across Yorkshire.
• Carry out planned, reactive and installation activities across public and private sector client premises, maintain accurate client records and build relations with clients, suppliers and contractors.
• Perform statutory and mandatory testing in accordance with the relevant legislation ensuring all are completed within contractually defined SLA's.
• Report back to the helpdesk regarding the status of all jobs through the software system and provide scope/material lists for works.
• Expected to develop an in-depth knowledge of building systems and strive to improve efficiencies
• Expected to deliver excellent customer service.
• Assist in the development of scope/plans for project works.
• Responsible for the service, maintenance, repair and remedial work on commercial heating equipment and associated plant.
• Covering sites such as schools, offices, care homes, colleges, warehouses etc.
• Taking part in an emergency call out rota of 1 week in 8.
• Carry out work across London and Home Counties.

Boiler & Heating Installations

Carrying out all aspects of gas servicing, maintenance and repairs from pre-planned maintenance to reactive work

• Participate in the companies on-call rota to provide customers with full out of hours cover
• Service and maintenance of gas appliances within commercial properties
• Attend service and reactive breakdowns to fault find, diagnose, and repair in a timely and cost effective manner.

• Servicing a wide range of commercial gas boilers from 250KW to 10 MW, to SFG & Manufactures recommendations, whilst seeking to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Servicing associated equipment such as gas boosters, plate heat exchangers, flues, gas detection /safety systems etc.
• Mechanical duties: pump overhauls, pressurization units servicing, valve and pipework repairs, cooling tower testing, vibration analysis, fixing leaks, HIU servicing, belt, and pully alinement checks, fault finding, chiller checks, water treatment/temperature monitoring, and constantly look for ways to reduce the overall cost of the production
• Electrical Duties: motor testing, BMS monitoring, meter checks, fault finding, and constantly look for ways to reduce the overall cost of the production
• Servicing AHU's, FCU's, HIU’s, chillers, pumps, inverters, cooling towers, adiabatic coolers, underfloor heating, pipework, and a good working knowledge of all other M&E & HVAC
• Carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance on a variety of heating plant and equipment in the Midlands and surrounding areas.
• Servicing and maintaining commercial installations including boilers, pumps, pressurization units, warm air heaters, as well as small plumbing works.
• Safety testing and inspection of complete installations, reporting any faults or remedial works that need addressing.
• Completion of associated gas certification documentation and job sheets to the required standard utilising bespoke job & certification management software (mobile apps).
• Estimating labour requirements for repairs to enable quotations to be generated.
• Liaising with office team and clients on a regular basis.
