3D DESIGNER JOB DESCRIPTION

An Overview of 3D Designer Responsibilities and Qualifications

1. As a 3D Designer, your role encompasses pioneering the adoption of 3D design software, evaluating prospects for its integration, and laying down procedures. You will also be responsible for educating team members on leveraging digital technology within the design workflow. Our 3D innovation lab aims to collaborate across different brands, harnessing the power of 3D technology to elevate our design processes.

3D Designer Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement best practices for 3D design software usage across Brands.
  • Build relationships and partner with cross functional teams in Tech and Design to replicate sketches or mocks to complete 3D design.
  • Ability to fit and adjust 3D garment and pattern for production.
  • Integrate the digital design process with the existing product development and production process.
  • Create a virtual fabric library to be used in the 3D sample process.
  • Train others on the use of the 3D Design software.


3D Designer Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of previous experience using 3D garment visualization technology, including CLO 3D or similar 3D design software.
  • 5+ years previous experience in Patternmaking and Technical Design
  • Garment fit and construction knowledge
  • Understanding of raw materials
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related design field.
  • Passion for design technology and innovation.

3D Project Designer Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design products for their Promotional Merchandise category. 
  • Support the development and delivery of a key client’s global creative strategy. 
  • Deliver of clients briefs whilst providing best suited design 
  • Production techniques that will achieve client’s expectations. 
  • Work hand in hand with clients to manage their requirements and budget
  • Advise on style, format, production etc.
  • Help develop concepts and graphics for merchandise product illustrations.


3D Project Designer Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Hands of experience of 3D modelling essential. 
  • Passionate about Concept Development and Graphic Design 
  • Experience of brand guidelines and regulations. 
  • Excellent IT skills and advanced knowledge of design and photo editing software.
  • Working with a global client base so you need to have an understanding of the latest trends within commercial environments.

3. Seeking a skilled 3D Designer well-versed in the Adobe Creative Suite, with a focus on Photoshop and Illustrator. The ideal candidate excels in creating 3D environmental designs, whether rendered in 3DMax or similar software, from initial concept to final realization. They should possess a strong artistic sensibility and outstanding creative conceptualization abilities. A keen interest in (Event-) Marketing, contemporary design, entertainment design, and the arts is highly desirable.

3D Designer Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Generate creative designs based on project /client needs
  • Produce professional creative event design, including stage design, graphic design and relevant decorative items to create an atmosphere in a virtual environment.
  • Take a design idea from concept mood boards to virtual production
  • Model, texture and light all elements involved with the project.
  • Understand the varieties of light setups from clean studio renderings to vibrant stage renderings.
  • Coordinate with project team in the execution of the project/assignments
  • Post-production work in Photoshop for final renderings

3D Designer Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 3+ years working experience in event or exhibition design agencies.
  • Degree in Fine Arts, Scenography, Interior Design, Architecture etc.
  • Software proficiency in:3D software: e.g. 3DMax etc.
  • Outgoing, friendly, sense of team spirit, confident and dedicated
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong understanding of Unreal Engine 4 is a plus
  • Knowledge of Twinmotion is a plus
  • Can create custom textures and materials for use in models.
  • Can dynamically light a scene
  • Proficient in AutoCAD (Not required but a plus)
  • Experience in the event design / tradeshow design industry
  • Proficient in Office 365 (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Ability to effectively meet deadlines
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work in team environment
  • Previous work experience in Event Design, Tradeshow Design, Theater or Architecture.
  • Any programming, web/HTML5 or WordPress experience is a plus.
  • Experience in programming/blueprints in Unreal Engine is a plus
  • After Effects/Motion Graphics experience is a plus.
