Job Summary: 

• Drive Innovation objectives for the Infrastructure, Transit and Fire Safety business of Marmon Electrical. 
• Working directly with the commercial sales leads and with customer engineering personnel, develop next generation products, solve customer wire, and cable problems with innovative designs and/or processes.
• Function as the engineering champion for new product development and product modifications required to keep the business on the forefront of technology and emerging applications
• Support customers by supplying technical and design parameters, reviewing, and modifying specifications, and recommending proper installation methods. 
• Stay “on top” of all technical aspects of the customer’s specifications.
• Identify new product opportunities and potential product innovations. Including tracking and reporting all ongoing engineering projects.
• Represent the Company at Industry committee and codes and standards meetings in a role of responsibility when allowed (such as chairperson). 
• Participating in standards development, giving presentations, authoring papers, interacting with customers, and portraying Electrical as the experts in engineered cable.
• Design cables including costs, weights, dimensions, and technical drawings or CAD drawings
• Author specifications, product data sheets, and technical documents.
