• Primarily responsible for the preventative maintenance of heavy equipment
• Report on equipment failures, modifications, equipment performance, and maintenance history
• Test equipment after repairs or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with the manufacturer's specifications

• Read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings

• Must be an experienced maintenance mechanic
• Familiar with the modifications and maintenance tasks on the variations of the Abrams Tanks (M1A1 ED, M1A2 SEP V2) vehicles.
• Maintenance experience on tracked vehicles, preferably on the Abrams Family of Tanks.
• Ability to effectively communicate and interact with internal and external customers.
• Able to work effectively in a team-oriented structure in a field and shop environment, both on and off military installations.
• Ability to contribute to the problem-solving process.
• Efficient knowledge of Microsoft Applications.
• Must have an overall understanding of customer contacts and relationships.
• Must be able to obtain or currently possess adequate tools to perform all assigned duties

Qualifications: BS in Industrial Maintenance with 4 years of Experience

• Industrial heavy equipment mechanical experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of and skills in using hand tools, including screwdrivers, socket wrenches, torque wrenches, pry bars, and specialized mechanic tools.
• Knowledge of and skills in using power tools, including cut-off saws, drills, portable band saws, skill saws, air impact wrenches, and grinders.
• Knowledge of and skills in using hydraulic tools, including hydraulic wrenches and barreling over tools.
• Knowledge of and skills in operating welding equipment and cutting tools.
• Knowledge of and skills in operating heavy equipment, including overhead cranes, truck cranes, and forklifts.
• Knowledge of and skills in mechanical maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints, drawings, schematics, and procedure manuals. 
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. 
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as area, circumference, length, and volume, with the ability to apply concepts of basic shop math.

Qualifications: BS in Mechanical Engineering with 5 years of Experience

• Mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment, or specialty lines equipment
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting fundamentals
• Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals
• Experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools

Qualifications: BS in Automotive Technology with 3 years of Experience

• Experience in a directly related field or the performance of similar duties and responsibilities
• A strong background in electrical and computer system troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair.
• Ability to obtain, within six months, at least two Automotive Institute of Excellence (ASE) certifications in Automotive or Heavy Truck
• Able to apply knowledge to complete a broad range of repair and maintenance functions
• Knowledge of hydraulic pumps, controls, and related systems.
• Knowledge of electronic control systems (engine management, transmission, hydraulics).
• Knowledge of basic and complex electrical systems.
• Knowledge of emissions control systems.
• Strong fabrication/welding skills (gas and arc).
• Be familiar with the general operating principles of light automotive and heavy construction equipment.
• Can communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.

Qualifications: BS in Diesel Technology with 5 years of Experience

• Experience working in a similar position
• Familiar with AR 7501, AR 7355, DA PAM 7508, and other Army Regulations applicable to maintenance services.
• Familiar with Technical Manuals (TMs), MAC times, engineering standards, and regulatory standards.
• Able to comply with state licensing requirements and local motor vehicle laws.
• Must be certified as being fully qualified to operate the vehicles or equipment to which you are assigned.
• A good working knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines.
• An understanding of the needs of the organization served.
• Can communicate effectively, both written and verbally
• Solid analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and to take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.
