Job Summary: 

• Deliver tobacco harm reduction (smoking cessation) assessments, advice, and support sessions with in-patients, including advice on stop smoking medications
• Work within recommended protocols and guidelines
• Involved face-to-face assessments in a variety of settings, including wards across the two sites.
• Together with the patients supported, develop individually tailored support plans, including recommending treatments based on assessed needs
• Have a caseload of patients on a quit journey who were supported and assessed throughout their duration in the hospital
• Upon discharge, seamlessly pathway patients to the community, stop smoking services available to them, including the Healthy Lifestyle Service (Coventry) or Pharmacy support (Coventry and Warwickshire), ensuring they have all they need to continue their quit journey.
• As a smokefree champion across the Trust, provide information, advice, and support to patients and staff alike on stopping smoking, minimizing harm from tobacco, and health-related issues in line with best guidance and protocols
• Lead on and be involved in awareness-raising sessions in the Trust
• Reinforce the training provided to staff to reduce harm from tobacco and the promotion of smoke-free settings.

Job Summary: 

• Monitor the performance of operational efficiencies
• Assist in ensuring that their performance and cost goals are being achieved by utilizing cost tracking tools and reviewing invoices for accuracy.
• Identify and execute ways to reduce costs while still fulfilling contractual obligations
• Provide strategic consultative resources to hospital staff to assist them in managing all contracted waste streams in a safe and compliant manner.
• Serve as the primary liaison in managing all contracted waste streams
• Provide expert knowledge on each of the regulations associated with the waste streams being managed (i.e., EPA, DOT, DEA, and any other state or local regulations)
• Conduct a Survey for customers, identifying compliance gaps and waste segregation opportunities, utilizing the Virtual Compliance Partner application
• Project manage the implementation of new compliance-based services, including the tracking, coordinating, and communication of schedules and expectations to internal and external customers.
