Job Summary: 

• Identify immediate and future end user, regulatory and corporate requirements for shipboard and shoreside teams concerning hardware and software related to health services.
• Analyse current state technology and processes to then recommend possible solutions and systems to meet the requirements of shipboard and shoreside health systems teams, as well as government reporting
• Analyse possible risks, costs, feasibility, and changes that may be required of these systems and update development plans and implementations.
• Ensure that all appropriate privacy, regulatory and security requirements are met in the development and implementation of health systems.
• Monitor and check the budget and the financial costs of the health systems and ensure that the most effective solution is applied.
• Analyse the full development cycle of a product and support, and collaborate with the electronic health services team members and internal and external providers to ensure completion of the requirements as per the planned requirements in a timely and cost-effective manner
• Ensure that appropriate privacy, security, and regulatory requirements are met concerning the obtaining, storing, sending, or transmitting of medical records and other sensitive information for both shipboard and shoreside health services teams.
• Find the data reporting requirements for the health services team and regulatory agencies, and work to create appropriate reporting mechanisms.
• Work with legal, regulatory, and medical teams to ensure that medical records are stored, destroyed or transmitted or sent in line with corporate policies and regulatory, privacy and security requirements
• Conduct appropriate audits and quality checks to ensure that key performance indices are met for the health systems department.
