Job Summary: 

• Create and develops hardware architectures that meet the overall product systems requirements and cost targets.
• Creates, develops, and tests electrical hardware designs (circuits) from the hardware architecture that meet both internal and external Systems and Product Performance Requirements.
• Creates and documents schematics via Altium.
• Performs Worst-Case-Circuit-Analysis and/or Simulation to ensure design robustness and compliance to requirements and overall conditions.
• Performs hardware DFMEAs, and supports Systems FMEAs.
• Reviews work and/or leads peer reviews of other electrical hardware engineers and outside design service companies’ electrical designs, analyses, and simulations.
• Specifies component location on circuit board designs and ensures the circuit board design meets electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) targets.
• Selects (and releases) electronic components that fulfill product requirements and cost targets.
• Diagnosis and testing prototype designs using standard laboratory equipment i.e., Oscilloscopes, and can determine solutions to EMC performance issues.
• Supports overall program timing via the timely completion of assigned tasks and activities.
• Keeps management informed of progress, and escalates issues to program and or engineering management.
• Evaluate and implement engineering changes.
• Follows and suggests improvements to the Inspection Electrical Hardware design procedures.
