Job Summary: 

• Manage third party supply of electrical equipment for projects.
• Specifies and documents control and condition monitoring equipment based on the requirements, including interface specifications, policies, and recommended technologies.
• Works closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors and subject matter experts to develop the equipment specification.
• Assists with end-to-end project delivery - from conception, prototype through to post-delivery and support.
• Quickly identifies opportunities, issues, risks and challenges to the business and stakeholders from a systems and data integration perspective.
• Work with Weir Minerals Technology Teams to analyze field data and combine this with physical product data to establish trends in maintenance phenomena.
• Develop installation guidelines in compliance with applicable electrical guidelines such as CSA, CE, UL and NEC codes.
• Work with relevant stakeholders in developing solutions for customers with respect to algorithm development that refines the ability to predict failures and improve health, performance and life of the pump.
• Work with platform-level data scientists (internal & external).
• Ensures solution implementations across the Minerals division align with the technology framework/architecture.
• Maintains technical knowledge of hardware and software deployed in solutions.
• Testing and validation of mechatronics technologies and ensure the implementation meets the system requirements for equipment.
• Keeps abreast of industry best practice methodologies and tools.
• Achieve continuous improvement of architecture maintaining alignment of technology framework to best practice thinking.
• Generate documentation, manuals and SOPs associated with each of the Automated systems 
• Use Autocad, NX, Teamcenter, SAP as required to document designs.

• Support the Weir Pump house, Barge, Custom ETO and Weir Digital Synertrex Product Offering and install base with design, specification, development, installation, commissioning, management and maintenance of electrical automation and control equipment, programming, simulation and testing.
• Design, specify, develop, program, test, install, manage, start up support, field support and maintain equipment used to monitor and control engineering systems, machinery and processes.
• Support control-system engineering activities by designing, developing, installing and testing electrical and instrumentation systems both internally and at customer sites.
• Manage the specification, development, installation and validation of automation projects within budget, timeline and corporate guidelines.
• Ensure systems and processes operate effectively, efficiently and safely.
