Job Summary: 

• Serve as a team member with the Pharmacy staff to develop and maintain Pharmacy-related programs and a drug information center.
• Maintain current knowledge of and comply with applicable state and federal laws, rules and regulations.
• Maintain established procedures concerning quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and disposal of hazardous waste drugs.
• Educates and supervises technician staff in the preparation of intravenous admixture solutions and chemotherapeutic agents, using aseptic technique.
• Completes formal in-service, formulary addition/deletion, assimilation of evidence-based protocol/order-set, medication safety related activities, and/or targeted medication expense reductions.
• Participate in general pharmacy operations throughout the organization through appropriate medication preparation, dispensing, and inventory control.
