  • Directly interacting with cedents and brokers regarding coverage and indemnification
  • Managing significant loss events (e.g. large natural catastrophes)
  • Participating in internal claims and external cedent reviews
  • Providing feedback to underwriters regarding claims
  • Develop, monitor, and report a departmental budget.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
  • Provide management with feedback regarding departmental functions.
  • Interact with internal departments to correct procedural and system problems.
  • Monitor productivity and accuracy of unit staff as they adjudicate, adjust, perform analysis and research claim projects.
  • Actively participate in the recruitment and hiring of claims staff.
