• Work with maintenance and production to develop and implement new or improved chemical manufacturing processes
• Assist with troubleshooting, gathering and analyzing data

• Perform heat and material balances on different systems in the facility

• Ensure local operations are in compliance with current global product procedures and implement any improvements to the local site once completed by the broader global team.

• Develop and monitor key performance indicators of the production units
• Identify improvement opportunities of the units
• Provide technical support for troubleshooting plant issues and implementing corrective actions
• Report on causes of production losses and downtime
• Report on plant efficiency and determining optimization of production rates
• Update Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&IDS) and Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs)

• Prior internship and/or related consulting experience 
• Refining or chemical processing experience in either pilot or industrial-scale operations
• Understanding of PFDs, P&IDs, process equipment, and basic chemical engineering fundamentals required
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills and the ability to track long and short-term projects for the LanzaJet team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
