As the AV Engineer, this role advances the full lifecycle of video teleconferencing systems for a DoD organization, encompassing evaluation, design, installation, testing, maintenance, and upgrade of VTC equipment while ensuring compliance with DoD frameworks, including AR 25-1 and DISA STIGs. The AV and VTC Engineering team relies on this work to maintain classified and unclassified IP videoconferencing environments, resolve system operational problems, and deliver client consulting and training on AV and VTC equipment.

  • Experience in configuring and maintaining Extron, Crestron, AMX, and Cisco UC and VTC technologies.
  • Knowledge of DoD compliance frameworks, including AR 25-1, DoD PAM 25-91, DISA STIGs, and DITSCAP/85002 IA controls.
  • Experience with IEEE 802.3 Ethernet, TCP/IP, QoS, ISDN, SIP, H323, H320, H460, TLS, RTP, SRTP, and UDP protocols.
  • Experience with multi-security classified and unclassified IP video teleconferencing environments.
  • Knowledge of TIA cabling standards, PKI, and commercial construction methods.
