Job Summary:

• Responsible for performing finite element and classical stress analysis for gear drive units and components in marine and industrial applications.
• Perform analysis during proposal and post order stage for unit sizing, structural analysis for deformations, stresses, shock, vibration, noise and weight optimization requirements.
• Perform analysis on welds, bolts and joints using FEA and classical methods.
• Perform lateral critical speed and torsional vibration analysis for rotating components and systems.
• Select and analyze gears and bearings for gear drive to meet specification requirements.
• Develop reports and present results of analysis.
• Provide optimal support to projects by the selection and application of the available lab analytical methods.
• Setting up lab experimental programs of high complexity with focus on developments in bio-based materials (mainly cellulose based).
• Generate high quality data, analyze and report the results.
• Extend the analytical capabilities of the Fundamental Analytics Laboratory
• Interact with other groups within Sappi such as competence centers and mills.

Job Summary:

• Act as the key architect for the Meta Tech Recruiting Analytics team, organizing, transforming, maintaining and designing analytical assets that ensure consistency and quality
• Design data quality flags in data sets to proactively identify upstream pipeline issues
• Maintain and document data transformation codes
• Troubleshoot and advise on solutions to data quality issues across different partner groups

• Provide test and analysis support for motors, blowers and compressor drive technologies across the Climate divisions.
• Work with product development teams to ensure competitively quiet, reliable, and low-cost designs.

• Test products using an array of mechanical test equipment in an effort to help product development engineers bring new products to market.
• Data acquisition for sound, vibration, pressure, force, speed, temperature, amps, etc,
• Mechanical testing such as Instron universal tester, LVDT, displacement lasers
