11. Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic (Regional Air Carrier Maintenance)
Reporting to the lead mechanic, the Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic performs maintenance, inspections, and repairs on assigned aircraft within the Grant Aviation fleet, including approving aircraft for return to service after scheduled or unscheduled maintenance. Partnering with the Maintenance Controller to keep technical manuals current and reporting faulty equipment to the maintenance supervisor, this role advances safe and reliable regional air carrier operations across aircraft types, including the C207, GA8, C208, PA31, and BE200.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Report to the lead mechanic.
- Approve aircraft for return to service after scheduled or unscheduled maintenance for which the authorized and qualified.
- Keep own work areas clean and return equipment and tools checked out at the end of the work shift to their assigned area.
- Report all inoperative or faulty equipment to the maintenance supervisor in charge.
- Complete all paperwork for maintenance performed.
- Ensure that hangar workshops and other assigned areas are maintained in an orderly manner.
- Assist the Maintenance Controller in maintaining technical manuals in their current status.
- Maintain adequate general hand tools to properly perform duties in accordance with FAR 43.13 Appendix D.
- Perform all duties of the position independently, efficiently, and effectively.
Position Requirements
- Knowledge of FAA regulations and applicable operations specifications required.
- Knowledge of flight manuals and other instructions pertinent to assigned duties required.
- Must have experience performing maintenance on one or more of the following aircraft: C207, GA8, C208, PA31, and BE200.
