Need-to-Know Overview of a Commercial Finance and Management Accounting

1. Commercial Finance and Management Accounting Functions

  • Support the month-end process within given timescales; to include processing routine journals; investigating variances,
  • Suggest corrective action where required
  • Preparation and review of monthly Control Account reconciliations
  • Support the preparation of reports and presentations in advance of Board Meeting
  • Business Partnering Support across the business
  • Promote a process improvement environment across the business, identifying inefficiencies, suggesting and implementing improvements
  • Adhoc data analysis, reporting, and presentation requests
  • Responsibility for the analysis and reporting of return on investment for suppliers
  • Pricing and promotional analysis using internal systems and excel tools
  • Provide financial and performance-related insight for internal departments
  • Financial support for internal commercial managers
  • Work with IT to enhance reporting systems
