• Java/.Net/C#, Distributed Caching, RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Spark and Databricks proficiency required, and knowledge of retail environment is a plus.

A key member of the company's architecture team, the Principal Architect leads software architecture implementation across one or more application domains, owning the Domain Roadmap and guiding engineering teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet performance, scalability and reliability requirements. Collaborating across business leaders, architects and engineering heads and reporting to the Chief Architect, this role builds a cohesive multi-brand platform that delivers services at scale to millions of customers worldwide.

What You'll Do

• Lead software architecture implementation throughout the product lifecycle for one or more application domains.
• Define software application architecture solution proposals and alternatives including schedule, resource and costing.
• Lead and participate in software architecture and code reviews, and work with internal and external engineers to prototype and implement applications.
• Own the Domain Roadmap, working closely with business, architects and engineering heads to set priority and deliver on time, within budget and to quality.
• Lead engineering teams to develop innovative solutions addressing functionality, performance, scalability, reliability and adherence to development principles.
• Drive the evolution of the technology stack, and act as role model and mentor for the entire technology organisation.
• Participate in the Architectural Committee to achieve enterprise-wide architectural alignment and chair architectural design reviews.

Required Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience as a software developer, lead and architect, and at least 6 years of architecture experience.
• High technical competency with a passion for execution, and able to probe, assess and understand complex technology environments and contribute to broader business conversations.
• Hands-on and entrepreneurial style, and actively develops technical talent, shares knowledge and solicits involvement to build ownership across teams.
• Strategic thinker with high situational intelligence, and able to communicate, influence and lead technical teams in strong technical decision-making.
• Effectively describes future domain direction and articulates technical findings to senior audiences, and proven ability to collaborate with functional leaders to deliver positive outcomes.
• Strong verbal, presentation and written communication skills, and comfortable presenting to executive leaders to build confidence and enable strategic decision-making.
• Able to navigate ambiguity and build loyalty, trust and confidence with cross-functional leaders and teams.
