Job Summary: 

  • Analyze clinical laboratory specimens following the standard methods and procedures
  • Perform tests, calibrations and run Quality Control materials at appropriate intervals
  • Evaluates results to decide whether tests should be reported
  • Determines the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria
  • Evaluates the acceptability of the analysis before releasing patient results
  • Responsible for scheduled preventative maintenance and laboratory equipment calibration
  • Accurately performs and records proficiency testing
  • Perform laboratory assays in accordance with Boston Heart Diagnostics' standard operating procedures
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain all laboratory equipment and instruments according to standard operating procedures to ensure quality results
  • Maintain adequate inventory of supplies, reagents, and materials
  • Accept or reject test results in accordance with standard operating procedures
  • Document remedial action, troubleshooting, quality assurance activities and instrument maintenance
  • Adhere to established processing timelines
  • Adhere to all quality and safety standards
