Job Summary: 

• Participating in the assembly and testing of prototype instruments
• Conducting mechanical and/or electrical modifications and upgrades on prototype instruments
• Installing, updating software and firmware at regular intervals
• Assist in updating and maintaining both paper and electronic lab notebooks with information regarding instrument modifications and upgrades
• Assist the R&D team by running tests and experiments, and drafting results reports
• Assist with planning associated with conducting bulk upgrades to prototype instruments during intervals between test cycles
• Perform technical duties in all laboratory sections by following the laboratory-established SOP with minimal supervision
• Analyze and submit test results in the Laboratory Information System
• Build and submit weekly reports to internal collaborators
• Review test orders and verify the accuracy of the corresponding specimens
• Complete and maintain laboratory maintenance logs and records (Proficiency testing, quality reports)
• Perform inventory management
• Follow laboratory safety guidelines and assure a clean, safe and adequately supplied work area
