- Lead virtual team of various infrastructure disciplines on each project to build the reference architecture, use case development and publishing, technology and vendor vetting and selection, running PoC, and building the design blueprints.
- Lead the technical aspects of RFP creation, vendor scoring and benchmarking, and SLA development.
- Work closely with the engineering and operation teams to ensure a smooth transition to stable and mature day-two operations and act as an L3 support SME for the IoT domain.
- Stay up to date on the industry development and innovation by participating in various forums and venues and keep the organization engaged via internal newsletters, podcasts, creating, and sharing relevant content.
- Work with key business and IT leaders to develop an IoT vision that sets objectives for the business to shoot for and to communicate that vision to key stakeholders
- Identify and document the IoT target state for the organization and ensure that the target architecture will address current and future business requirements
- Collaborates with and enables solution architects in their design and implementation of IoT solutions
- Develop and standardize the process for building IoT solutions and then guiding the evolution and improvement of that process
- Engage effectively with teams across the organization to develop clear business objectives for IoT solutions and to ensure they integrate well with existing operations
- Increase the usability and functionality of platforms by specifying enhancements and fixes to the platform team
- Prototype solutions in C++, C#, and java to illustrate best practices and architecture
