Job Summary:

• Directs, leads and coaches the team’s activities within the Grounds department to ensure all areas of responsibility are covered
• Takes ownership of the Grounds team, monitoring consistent delivery of the best grounds, best practices, polices and procedures and continually looking and learning to develop venue.
• Ensures daily plans are in place and work is carried out in the correct priority order.
• Takes ownership for the maintenance of all external horticultural areas including roads and pathways within the Hotel grounds.
• Takes responsibility for keeping a plan of grounds and gardens, to use appropriate plants, shrubs etc. in keeping with Hotel and local area.
• Creates an environment where every team member is encouraged to never stop looking and learning to perform at best
• Deliver regular team meetings to keep everyone up to date with all relevant targets and information to deliver to best ability.

• Cut grass using a ZTR mower, cut weeds, apply pesticide solutions, operate irrigation equipment, blow trash, pick up trash, employ pest control techniques and solutions
• Make budget recommendations to the Executive Housekeeper regarding needs of the department.
• Assist athletic staff and coaches with service request and acts as a liaison between athletic staff and Building Services

Job Summary:

• Plan, develop, and direct campus landscaping and gardening projects, including irrigation systems.
