- Must obtain Class A CDL within 12 months of entry date into the Fleet Technician B classification or vacate the job classification.
- Must obtain Fluid Power Society Certification and two (2) applicable ASE certifications within 24 months of entry date or vacate the current job classification.
- Exhibit competency and aptitude in the fundamentals and mechanics of vehicle maintenance and repairs.
- Familiar with and can operate the computer systems utilized by the Fleet Services organization.
- Successful completion of the Tuff Tech pre-employment placement test

4. BS in Mechanical Engineering with 7 years of Experience
- Hands-on experience maintaining and repairing heavy truck/diesel vehicles
- Heavy truck/diesel training and certifications - Automotive Service Excellence Certification in School Buses
- Diesel experience and School Bus Inspection Certification
- Ability to skillfully perform routine preventive maintenance, inspections, and basic to intermediate vehicle repair on fleet equipment, compute estimates and actual costs for labor and materials.
